In celebration of its 25th anniversary on May 2nd 2025, the Rotary Club of Northumberland Sunrise is proud to announce a special one-time grant of $25,000 to support a Northumberland based non-profit or charitable organization with a project. This grant reflects the club’s commitment to fostering community development, supporting meaningful initiatives, and enhancing the well-being of residents in our region.

Winner Announcement: Early October
Eligibility: Open to all registered charitable organizations operating within Northumberland County.
Purpose: Funding must be used for projects or initiatives that positively impact the community and align with Rotary’s values of service, integrity, and community development.
Key Considerations for the Proposal

- Must be a non-profit or charitable organization within Northumberland County.
- The proposed project must directly benefit the local community.
- Organizations must demonstrate fiscal responsibility and sustainability.
- The project must be executed within 2025 or 2026.
- Application Requirements
- Organization Details: Name, mission statement, contact information.
- Project Summary: A concise description of the initiative, its objectives, and the intended impact.
- Budget Breakdown: Detailed allocation of the requested funds.
- Project Timeline: Milestones and completion timeline.
- Community Impact Statement: How the project will benefit residents and address specific community needs.
- Evaluation Plan: How success will be measured and reported.
- Rotary Recognition Plan: Description of how the organization will recognize the Rotary Club of Northumberland Sunrise for its contribution. This may include social media acknowledgments, press releases, event participation, signage, or other forms of public recognition.
- Selection Criteria
- Community Benefit: Demonstrated impact on the well-being of Northumberland County residents.
- Feasibility & Sustainability: Clear plan for implementation and continued impact beyond the grant period.
- Innovation & Alignment with Rotary Values: Projects that exemplify creativity, service, and positive change.
- Financial Transparency: A well-defined budget with reasonable and justified expenses.
- Alignment with Rotary’s Seven Areas of Focus: Preference will be given to projects that align with at least one of Rotary’s seven areas of focus:

- Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee composed of Rotary Club members.
- Shortlisted applicants may be invited for an interview or presentation.
- The final selection will be made based on alignment with the grant’s objectives and the organization’s capacity to execute the project effectively.
